A GERD or a gastro esophageal reflux disease is known as a condition that is due to the digestive systems of people. It is a condition that is generally caused by the stomach's reflux that flows upwards to the esophagus. The condition is rather common among adults and it is usually not life threatening. Some other common symptoms of GERD includes harshness in the throat along with coughing, burning sensation or pain in the chest, sinusitis, vomiting and ear aching. These are general symptoms that can be found in other sicknesses and diseases too.
